Creativity is the nourishment of all creative individuals, including writers, artists, and designers. Sometimes we feel helpless in front of computer screen or a blank paper and wait for inspiration. It happens because many people among us believe that creativity is a divine thing that comes out bafflingly, though it’s not! Creativity is not a rare skill how we use to think, it also can be achieved through learning and practice regularly.
“Creativity is knowing how to hide your sources” — C.E.M. Joad.
Take action to problem
Creativity is just your taken action rather than divine intervention. To be creative, the first step is to understand that creativity is nothing than solving a problem with consequence and innovation. It means is your solution appropriate to solve your problem? Is your solution innovative? With the outline in your mind, use brainstorming practices to vibrate fresh and new ideas. Get platform to harness your creativity.
“There are three responses to a piece of design– yes, no, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for.”– Milton Glaser.
Use Pencil And Paper First
The pen and pencil are really effective to develop ideas without any distraction of color and tools of your electronic device. Document your ideas through a simple sketch or draft and then bring it to the digital environment. Setting structure to your work has a profound outcome. Every so often thinning the range of work outcomes is more creative solutions. Drawing on papers is also a key part of creativity. A designer should create her/his first sketch on paper rather than on screen.
“It’s through mistakes that you actually can grow. You have to get bad in order to get good.”– Paula Scher
