Why Should You Drink Water, How Much And When?

A healthy lifestyle means knowledge, understanding, and awareness of your body and mind. We all are used to hear the common things like eat healthy, work out regularly, drink enough water, and live a stress-free life, and I believe these practices are cool. Water is the essential part of healthy living practices. Drinking fresh water has only benefits, doesn’t have any negative side effect. Your body loses fluids constantly through skin evaporation, urine, breathing, etc. You become dehydrated if the intake water in your body is not equal your output. Drinking water is necessary for your good health to replace the losses.

Water is essential for your health because about 60% of an adult man body is made of water and about 55% of an adult woman body is made of water. Drinking enough water either plain or in other forms maintains your body’s fluid balance. Experts suggest a man should drink 3 liters of water a day and a woman should drink 2.2 liters of water a day. Water nutrients your body needs that exist in plain water, liquids, and foods. Besides tap or bottled water, liquids such as milk and juices are also the good sources of water.

Drink a glass of water in your first morning. It helps to awake and hydrates your internal organs, moreover capable you to consume breakfast effectively by lubricating your digestive system.

Drinking light warm water helps to reduce weight. A glass of light warm water in your first morning helps you with weight loss and body nutrients by increasing body temperature. An affix in metabolic rate lets your body burn more calories that warm water can do it for you.

Drink water 30 minutes before your main meal. It helps to hydrate your internal digestive organs properly. Drinking water prior to each meal allows your digestive system work better and easier so you get the most value from your consumed food.

Drink water before exercise. Whatever types of workout you use to do, go to a fitness center, do yoga, do walk or swim, you lose both energy and water from your body.  Drinking before a workout provides you better energy and best muscle feedback and being hydrated your body during the workout.

Drinking water is good, though there are some exceptions. Don’t drink water during meals because it liquefies acids and enzymes in your digestive system that makes harder to absorb food. Once I was used to drinking water while eating, sometimes consume water doubles than my food. Later, I learned by reading that drinking water during meals is not a healthy practice and I stopped.

In fact, benefits of drinking water are endless. I can’t imagine my day without water. Water, meditation, and sleep are my life forces. But soft drinks, coffee, beer, etc. are not ideal sources of water because these ingredients contain diuretic properties that cause your body to let go water. So make water your first drink choice from today.
